Allan was raised in Castres, a small city in southern France. He grew up in a creative environment, inspired by his mother’s and grandmother’s paintings. Influenced by their work, Allan conveys the emotion of his subjects through dynamic portraits that reveal their vulnerability and true essence.
Despite his background, his trajectory into the creative arts wasn’t always self-evident. He worked as a mechanic for a few years and immersed himself in the world of breakdance. It was at this point Allan picked up the camera and started taking photos with a more serious eye. He started taking pictures of his crew members as they performed and eventually shot for the Battle Of The Year.
Breakdancing took a physical toll on him and after some injuries, he quit dancing and tuned his lens to portrait photography.
At the end of 2013, Allan was asked to shoot the Paris Fashion Week for a Chinese celebrity team. It was then he realized he would need to move to where the action was to delve more into portrait and fashion work.
After almost 3 years in Paris, Allan was ready to take on bigger challenges and moved to Tokyo. Here, his creative efforts focus on bridging the gap between the two fashion and art hubs of Tokyo and Paris.
